Cues, for audience members.
Cues is a concert-length audio recording intended to be listened to by audience members during and alongside the course of a music event. For 90 minutes, audience members wear an earbud and hear a collection of different sounds and instruction amid large intervals of silence. These sounds guide the listener through a series of discreet physical actions that are intended to subtly affect the experience of listening and partially dissolve barriers between roles of audience and performer. A performance of Cues will be facilitated by the composer at Event #2 of CLAC. For information on Cues please visit this website and listen to track 1 alongside the transcript below: https://weekendepproject.bandcamp.com/album/cues. If you want to participate, from the same page download tracks 2 and 4 to your playback device of choice and bring them along to the concert.
This event is free and unticketed.
