Desirability, Feasibility & Implementation: the state of the citizen’s basic income debate

Dr Malcolm Torry, Director at the Citizen’s Basic Income Trust and honorary research fellow at the London School of Economics is visiting the University of Hull to provide this talk as part of the IAE Autumn seminar programme.
Malcolm will define a Citizen’s Basic income, outline some of its characteristics and likely effects and discuss a variety of objections to the concept. Referencing past, present and future experiments Malcolm will consider the feasibility of a Citizen’s Basic income, and explore implementation options.
