The University of Hull, in collaboration with the Rio Cello, is pleased to announce a major festival of cello concerts led by the distinguished cellist Dr David Chew OBE, as part of the Hull City of Culture 2017 celebrations, to take place over the weekend of 29-30 July.
The concerts will feature an array of internationally renowned musicians (from Brazil, Ecuador, the United States and Poland), including the London Piano Quartet. All concerts will take place at the University’s recently refurbished, state\-of\-the\-art Middleton Hall concert venue, at the main entrance to the University of Hull’s main campus, on Cottingham Road, Hull.
Holders of full weekend tickets will also have special access to attend (and, should they wish, participate in) extra masterclass sessions (in addition to the formal concert schedule).
