With input from the University of Hull, the Science Museum and science performers from around the country, this year’s festival is all about showcasing the role of science, maths and engineering within our culture.
The festival is bigger and better than ever before! We’ve got Discovery Zone where you can quiz some of the University’s brightest minds in our Meet the Scientist area, or get hands on with a range of fun activities in our Maker area. There is also a host of shows, workshops, lectures and debates, taking place across the campus, which will entertain and educate you about the amazing world of science.
This year, the One Show’s Marty Jopson and London’s Science Museum will be delivering their own unique entertaining take on science. And we’ve got events for adults including a lecture on pulsars delivered by Dame Jocelyn Bell-Burnell and a debate on fluoridation of drinking water.
As always all events and lectures are free and open to the public! Entry is by ticket only, so book your free tickets today.
Just as you don’t have to be a musician to enjoy a concert, you don’t have to be a scientist to enjoy our festival. We want to entertain all our visitors with ideas and innovations. During Hull 2017 the festival is about showing you that science and technology is an integral part of our culture.
It should be a cracking festival, please do come along and enjoy the experience
