Hull Science Festival, Demonstration Lecture. Carbon dioxide isn't just affecting the atmosphere, its changing the oceans as well.
In this interactive lecture we will explore how future ocean conditions affect smell molecules that are used by marine animals to find their food, potential partners, a new home or identify a hungry predator. We will take a look at how hermit crabs find their dinner, experience what future ocean conditions would feel like for us and use the University of Hull’s own supercomputer VIPER to take a look at the smell molecules in today’s and future ocean conditions.
