After being featured as one of Clash Magazine’s Artists Set To Rise in 2018, Mali Hayes’ music is with perfumed with vibrant real life stories and is coloured with honesty and soul, also described as a Jazzy-Nu-R&B type Neo Soul. Having graduated from Leeds College of Music in 2015, she met who would be her band mates and began to play regular Leeds and Manchester shows, which led her reputation to grow locally.
After recording and releasing her Debut EP, Quiet Silence, in late 2016 with her producer and mother, Yvonne Ellis, Mali hit 2017 running as she joined Gilles Peterson’s Brownwood expansion and talent discover program (Arts Council England) - Future Bubblers, saw herself performing at The Jazz Cafe (London) and also sought a slot at Gilles’ Festival Embassy (House of St Barnabas, Soho)
