Each year the Trustees of the National Portrait Gallery commission a portrait from the winner of the BP Portrait Award resulting in a selection of portraits of some of Britain's best known cultural figures. The exhibition represents the diversity, creativity and vision of a group of people who have shaped Britain today, and the best in contemporary portraiture.
No booking required. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.

Please note that the exhibition will be closed from 4pm on the 29th March and the 4th April. The exhibition maybe closed to the public on further dates for teaching and learning events. Please check the website for updates before making the journey.
If you wish to attend the exhibition on a weekday between 10:00am - 6:00pm, we suggest using public transport as there will no car parking available on site. Car parking will be available after 6:00pm or on weekends.
