Part of the Maritime Historical Studies Centre Seminar Series 2016-17
Speaker: Sheryllynne Haggerty (University of Nottingham)
Privateering was a method of waging war, and a business always risky but sometimes spectacularly lucrative. Dr Sheryllynne Haggerty examines this much-misunderstood aspect of arguably the first global war.
The seminar is free of charge and will meet at 6:00pm at Blaydes House. Tea and coffee will be available before the seminar, and refreshments afterwards. All persons interested in Maritime History in any of its aspects are warmly invited to attend.
