Join us for a special event on Wednesday, 5 December at 6.15 when Lansana Mansaray (‘Barmmy Boy’) will be introducing two new films – ‘Seaside Communities’ and ‘Kid Miners’ -- that he has produced as part of an AHRC project, ‘The Anti-Slavery Knowledge Network’, involving the Universities of Hull, Liverpool and Nottingham. Barmmy is an independent film maker, musician and producer who is the inspiration behind the artistic co-operative, We Own TV, based in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
This screening is a joint event hosted with the Freetown Society. Refreshments will be available from 6 pm onwards.
